Day 2: Beijing Day Tour: Tiananmen Square + Forbidden City + Jingshan Park + Summer Palace

After breakfast, you will visit the world-famous Tiananmen Square. Located on Beijing’s central axis, it is the world's largest city center square and has witnessed countless major historical events. You will view the solemn Tiananmen Gate Tower and learn about the profound Chinese culture. Afterward, you will cross the square to visit the Palace Museum, also known as the "Forbidden City." As the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is the largest and best-preserved wooden building complex in the world. Follow your guide to explore the main halls and hear the history behind these magnificent structures. Afterward, take a short 15-minute walk to Jingshan Park to overlook the panoramic view of the Forbidden City and the stunning scenery of Beijing.

Afternoon: Summer Palace

Day3

Day 3: Great Wall Day Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall + Bird’s Nest + Water Cube

Daytime:
After breakfast, you will drive for about 1.5–2 hours (73km) to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Mutianyu is known for being the longest and best-restored section of the Great Wall, often praised for its unique beauty. You will take a cable car up to the 14th Watchtower, hike west to the highest point—the 20th Watchtower—and enjoy the majestic mountain vistas along the way. Upon returning to Beijing city center, you will make a stop to view the "Bird’s Nest" (National Stadium) and "Water Cube" (National Aquatics Center) from the outside for photos before returning to the hotel.

Today, our driver will take you to the Beijing Railway Station to board a high-speed train to Xi’an (approx. 4.5–5.5 hours). You can enjoy views of Chinese towns and mountain scenery along the way. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the station and start the next part of your journey. You will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a cultural landmark in Xi’an. Located inside the Da Ci'en Temple, it is the oldest and largest Tang Dynasty square pavilion-style brick pagoda. You can admire its ancient architecture, view the Buddhist scriptures and statues brought back by Master Xuanzang, and climb the tower to look out over Xi’an. Afterward, you will head to the famous Muslim Quarter to experience the local lifestyle and taste local specialties like Roujiamo (Chinese burger) and Biangbiang noodles.

This museum is built on the original site of the pits and is China's largest ancient military museum. With professional guidance, you will visit Pits 1, 2, and 3 to learn about the history, craftsmanship, and the stories behind these clay figures.

Afternoon: Xi’an Ancient City Wall, Bell & Drum Towers
Visit the historic Xi’an Ancient City Wall, built during the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the best-preserved ancient city fortifications in China. You can walk along the historical bricks and enjoy the view where the ancient wall meets the modern city. Nearby, you will see the awe-inspiring Bell Tower and Drum Tower, which date back 600 years. At night, when the lights turn on, they are truly spectacular.

Day 6: Xi’an to Guilin: Elephant Trunk Hill + Reed Flute Cave

You will visit the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill, named for its shape resembling a giant elephant drinking water. Next, visit the Reed Flute Cave, known as the "Art Palace of Nature." It is one of China’s most famous caves, filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars that glow under colorful lighting, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Day 7: Guilin to Yangshuo: Li River Cruise + Countryside + West Street

Daytime: Li River Cruise & Yangshuo Countryside
After breakfast, drive to the pier (approx. 1 hour) and embark on a Li River Cruise. Enjoy the most beautiful section from Guilin to Yangshuo (approx. 84km, 4 hours). As the saying goes, "Guilin's scenery is the finest under heaven." You will enjoy the picturesque landscape, listen to legends about famous landmarks, and enjoy a custom-prepared Western-style lunch on board. After arriving in Yangshuo, our driver will take you to your hotel to rest before you head out to explore. You can choose to explore the countryside by car, bicycle, or motorbike (extra cost may apply) to see the karst mountains, rice paddies, and local village life.

Evening: West Street
Explore West Street, the most bustling area in Yangshuo. It perfectly blends Eastern and Western cultures and is the best place to experience the nightlife. Whether you want to taste local food or find a small shop for a drink, it is the perfect place to relax.

Day 8: Yangshuo to Zhangjiajie | Arrival & Check-in

Take the high-speed train from Yangshuo to Zhangjiajie (approx. 6–8 hours). The rest of the time is free—you can explore the local food streets, stroll around the cableway plaza, or enjoy a local foot massage to relieve travel fatigue.

Day 9: Wulingyuan Deep Exploration: Forest Park + "Charm of Xiangxi" Show

Morning: Ten-Mile Gallery, Golden Whip Stream, Yuanjiajie
We recommend departing around 7:00–9:00 AM. Enter from the East Gate and visit the "Ten-Mile Gallery" via a sightseeing train. Afterward, pass by "Golden Whip Stream" and take the Bailong Elevator (335m high, 88 seconds to the top) to overlook the peak forest. Explore the Yuanjiajie scenic area, including the "Hallelujah Mountain" (prototype of the floating mountains in the movie Avatar), and the "First Bridge under Heaven." Have lunch in the Yuanjiajie area.

Afternoon: Yangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain
Head to Yangjiajie to see the natural "Great Wall" of stone peaks. Then, take a sightseeing bus to Tianzi Mountain (approx. 25 minutes) to visit the Imperial Brush Peaks, Fairy Maid Scattering Flowers, and Helong Park. Afterward, return to the East Gate and head to the Wulingyuan Charm of Xiangxi Grand Theater for dinner and the evening show.

Evening: "Charm of Xiangxi" Cultural Performance
Stroll through the Xibu Old Street, then watch the 80-minute main show directed by Zhang Yimou (or Feng Xiaogang as listed), showcasing Tujia, Miao, and Bai ethnic cultures, including famous segments like "Love Chasing," the Miao fire drum, and more. After the indoor show, enjoy outdoor performances of incredible folk stunts (fire walking, qigong, etc.) and join in the bonfire interaction.

Day 10: Wulingyuan Deep Exploration: Forest Park South Gate

Daytime: Oxygen Bar Square, Golden Whip Stream, Huangshi Village
Recommended departure at 9:00 AM. After entering the South Gate, visit the Oxygen Bar Square—the core hub of the park with incredibly fresh air. Walk the classic Golden Whip Stream path, known as a natural forest and creek gallery, which is shaded and cool. Then, head to the Huangshi Village Cableway. Huangshi Village is a "panoramic peak forest observation deck"—at an altitude of over 1100 meters, it is said that "If you don't go to Huangshi Village, you haven't really been to Zhangjiajie." Take the cable car to see the karst landscape, then walk the flat path to various viewing platforms to enjoy 360° views. Return via cable car and back to the hotel around 2:00 PM.

Day 14: Shanghai Day Tour: Shanghai Tower + Shanghai Museum + Yu Garden + Nanjing Road + The Bund

Morning:
After breakfast, head to the Lujiazui financial district to visit the Shanghai Tower—the tallest building in China. Take the world's fastest elevator (73.8 km/h) to the "Top of Shanghai" observatory at 546 meters (118th floor) for a 360° panoramic view of the skyline. You can even mail a postcard from the world's highest post office.
Next, visit the Shanghai Museum (East Branch) to see precious cultural relics, including the "Da Ke Ding" (3000-year-old bronze tripod), the "Shang Yang Fang Sheng" (standard measure of the Qin Dynasty), and the "Zi Zhong Jiang Pan" (spring-autumn period bronze basin).
Afterward, visit the 460-year-old Yu Garden to admire the exquisite Jiangnan classical garden layout and traditional architecture. You can also explore the Yu Garden Bazaar for local snacks and crafts.

Afternoon:
Walk along the famous "Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street" toward the Bund. Along the way, enjoy the architecture from the 1930s and visit century-old local brands. The Bund, located on the west bank of the Huangpu River, is known as the "Exhibition of International Architecture," featuring 52 buildings of various styles. Standing by the river, you can look out at the skyscrapers of Lujiazui across the water.

Note: Yu Garden is closed on Mondays (replaced by the City God Temple). The Shanghai Museum (East Branch) is closed on Tuesdays; we will try to arrange a visit to the People's Square branch or coordinate an alternative.
